I came across your site via your comment on the new Living Philosophy Metamodern Spirituality series.

Re Robert George

He was a principal mover and shaker of the Manhatten Declaration which has essentially been repackaged as part of the 2025 project.

http://www.manhattendeclaration.org

As I said before he is closely associated with both Opus Dei and the First Things cabal the applied politics of which is described in this 2019 essay

http://opentabernacle.wordpress.com/2019/03/22/resurgence-of-the-catholic-political-right-under-trump

This reference provides a detailed description of the ins and outs, and political machinations of Opus Dei http://www.odan.org

By the way Paul Kingsnorth makes much of his association with both First Things and Rod Dreher too.

George recently attended a Touchstone gabfest which also featured Rod Dreher.

Rod Dreher thinks highly of J D Vance

These two references provide a very dark assessment of Vance

http://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2024/03/08/cpac-attendess-america-under-attack

Rod Dreher has previously attended CPAC gab-fests and is most probably still very sympathetic with the zeitgeist promoted at such.

Not much Metamodern Spirituality to be found at any of the above, nor for that matter any kind of authentic Traditional Spirituality too!

The idea that the individual gets to decide what he believes is very Protestant. This Protestant assumption leads to unending fragmentation.

Secularism is a dead dream built on a dead Christian cultural foundation. Tolerance of those with differing viewpoints is only possible in a dominant Christian culture. As Christian culture dies, so does toleration. Saudi does not tolerate differing viewpoints. China does not tolerate differing viewpoints. And woke liberals do not tolerate differing viewpoints. Non-Christians are not commanded to love their enemies. So they don't.
